Onsen (Hot Spring) In Japan

My husband arrived in Japan on Friday afternoon and we spent 3 nights in Kobe.  We then went to a hot spring for one night yesterday.  When I was searching for a suitable place to go for this trip, I was looking at many places including Kyushu, Hiroshima, Izu and Nikko but in the end I decided to book a place we could get to in a couple of hours on ordinary commuter trains.

On Saturday, the weather forecast said it was going to rain on Monday and I was very disappointed because the best thing about this Japanese hotel I booked was going to be the view of the sea.  Fortunately, the weather changed for the better and we were able to enjoy the beautiful sunset from the outside hot spring bath (that we could reserve just for ourselves).

This is the beginning of the sunset at the lobby on our way to the outside bath.

I will write more about the hotel, the hot spring and the meals when I edit the photos.
