Usually my husband cooks dinner on Sundays but he sounded like he didn’t want to be bothered and suggested to go to Jamie Oliver’s in Forum, so that’s what we did.  The restaurant is quite large so we can usually get a reservation even just a few hours before so we tend to go here when we decide to go out at the last minute.

We shared “Italian Nachos” for a starter.  It was ravioli filled with cheese and deep-fried with some bread crumb. Although it said crispy it wasn’t, but it wasn’t oily and wasn’t bad.  I worry about the calories, though.

For the main, we shared a salad and a pasta.  Salad was “Super Food” salad.  It had quinoa, nuts, pomegranate, broccolini, avocado etc.  So so.

Pasta was Genaro’s Tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce.  When I had it at lunch last time it was much too salty but when I had it twice at dinner time before then it was good. This time, it was very good, again.  So, 3 wins, 1 loss so far.  I guess it gets too salty when it’s cooked down.

Then we shared hot chocolate cake with ice cream.  It was good but very rich so 2 little spoonfuls were enough for me – my husband happily finished the rest.

We shared a bottle of sparkling water and a carafe of red wine and the bill was S$160.  It’s reasonable and not bad food.  It’s not consistent  judging from the pasta, though.
