Chilli Con Carne


My husband came back from Shanghai tonight, so I’m having a proper dinner after 2 nights of sandwiches.  As I knew he would be tired, I prepared his favourite dinner – Chilli Con Carne.  It feels like just the other day when I cooked it last but it’s been more than a month.


When I cook Chilli Con Carne I cook at least for 4 people and freeze the left-over because I find the taste doesn’t deteriorate by freezing.  I had left-over from the last time when I cooked so all I did today was defrosting and warming it up, make a salad and garlic bread.  When I freeze things like this I put it in a freezer bag, make it very thin so it gets defrosted quickly.
