Pasta With Very Simple Tomato Sauce


I made very basic tomato sauce today to use with pasta.  It’s a recipe I learned at a cooking class in Hong Kong many years ago and uses the same amount of tin and fresh tomatoes.  I added some chilli flakes to make it slightly spicy.  Personally I love simple sauce best with pasta but my husband likes more bits in the sauce, so I don’t make this so often.


My husband prefers short pasta to long so I used Penne for him and added small mozzarella balls.  For myself, I had spaghetti and used just a few mozzarella balls.
