Hiyashi Chuka


We had Hiyashi Chuka (I bought a pack of noodles and sauce for 2 and just topped with shredded lettuce, thinly cut tomato, cucumber, ham and Japanese thin egg omlet like crepe) for lunch today, it’s been a while since we had it.  I used to buy something similar (but it was more of a noodle salad) in a convenience store in Japan when I was looking after my Mum.  I think I should have added some chilli oil to make it a bit spicy.  As it’s not hot like Ramen my husband, who has trouble slurping hot noodles, found it easier to eat.
