Beef Stew (Jool’s Fafourite Beef Stew)

赤ワインがたくさん残っているので早く消費せねば、ということで(笑)、今日の夕食は赤ワインに合うビーフシチュー。2週間前に夫が作ってくれたとき、余った分を冷凍していたので。2人分に少し足りないかなと思う量だったので、人参とインゲンのニンニク蒸し炒めを添えました。ビーフはたくさん残っていなかったので、わたしは2切れだけ。でも、結構たくさんジャガイモがはいっていたこともあり、思っていたよりボリュームがありました。味が馴染んで、当日よりおいしくなっていました。ニンニクと一緒に無視炒めしたインゲンも美味しかったです。

We have quite a lot of red wine and we need to drink it, so I defrosted the “Jools’ Favourite Beef Stew” that my husband cooked a couple of weeks ago. I wasn’t sure if we had enough for 2 of us, so I cooked carrots and green beans as well. There wasn’t a lot of beef so I took just a couple of pieces and gave the rest to my husband but there was plenty as there were a lot of potatoes. It tasted even better than on the day as you expect for stews. I cooked green beans with garlic by first steaming with a little water, then stirfry until nice and brown, which was also delicious.
