Pork Ragu Pappardelle (with Parsley and Cheese)


It has been windy all day again and it’s very strange weather.  The sun was out but the wind is too strong to sit in the garden.  We are also surprised how early it gets dark now.  I feel only a few days ago it was still light outside when we finish washing up after dinner but now it starts to get dark while we are having dinner and by the time we finish washing up it’s completely dark outside.  I suppose the summer in England is already ending.  It seems we have very few periods of “just comfortable” weather – but then it’s the same in Japan.


今日の夕食は、Hello Fresh の「Pork Ragu Pappardelle (with Parsley and Cheese) 」(ポークのラグーのパスタ、パセリとチーズ入り)でした。(わたしたちは、サラダも少し作りました。)ポークとありますが、ソーセージに詰める加工したポークのミンチです。ポークを炒め、玉ねぎを加えて炒め、ニンニクとフェンネルを足して炒め、トマトペーストを加えて更に炒めたところにパックのトマトとお砂糖を加えて塩胡椒し、煮詰めます。(わたしたちはここでチリフレークトローズマリーを加えました。)あとは、茹でたパスタと和える直前にパセリとパルメジャーノチーズ風のチーズを加えてパスタと和えて出来上がり。普通に美味しくいただきました。ソースが多かったので、4分の1くらい取り避けたので、また近いうちにランチにでも使います。

Today’s dinner was “Pork Ragu Pappardelle (with Parsley and Cheese)” from Hello Fresh.  The pork used here is sausage meat.  (We also made a small salad.)  You sauté sausage meat, then add onion and sauté further, then add garlic & fennel and sauté one more minute.  Then add tomato puree, cook for a further 2 minutes, then add a pack of chopped tomatoes, a little sugar, salt & pepper and cook it down until thick.  Just before you pour pasta in the sauce, add parsley and Parmesan type cheese.  We added some chilli flakes and chopped rosemary.  It was good.  There was so much sauce that I took out about 1/4 before serving and kept it for another lunch.
