Today’s dinner was Tonkatsu (pork breaded and deep-freid).  I have been very happy that I can now deep-fry them very nicely recently, but it didn’t work well today.  I forgot to salt & pepper the pork before breading, so it didn’t have much flavour.  Also, for some reason, the flour and egg part was too thick today.  My husband said it was still very good and it was nice and tender, but it really didn’t taste good and the texture was wrong.  Very sad!  A couple of little mistakes can make such a big difference.
