昨日の夜は、仲良しのお友達ご夫婦とクリスマス前のディナーに出かけました。場所は、チチェスターのタイ料理屋さん「レモングラス」、去年も同じお友達ご夫婦と同じレストランでクリスマス前のディナーをしました。お友達ご夫婦をわたしたちと食べたいものがかなり違うのでそれぞれ夫婦でオーダーすることにしました。

We had dinner with our good friends at a Thai restaurant, “Lemongrass” in Chichester, last night, this was our “Pre-Christmas Dinner” .  We actually had Pre-Christmas Dinner last year with them in the same restaurant.  As what they like is quite different from what we like, each couple ordered separately.

わたしたちがオーダーした野菜春巻き。

We ordered Deep-friend Vegetable Spring Rolls.

同じく、チキンサテー（思いっきり焦点外れてますが）。

Also Chicken Satay (sorry that the focus is on the sauces rather than on the chicken satay).

 

お友達ご夫婦がオーダーされた、鴨の揚げ春巻き。

Our friends ordered Deep-friend Duck Spring Rolls.

同じく、多分、揚げた海老。

Also, I think, Deep-friend Prawns.

わたしたちがオーダーした、野菜のソムタム。これはちょっとドレッシングが甘過ぎました。

We also ordered Vegetable Som Tom, the dressing was a bit too sweet.

同じく、タイビーフサラダ。前回は美味しかったのですが、今回はあまり好みじゃなかったです。ドレッシングの味が薄くて酸味が足りなかったのとビーフもいまひとつ。

Also Thai Beef Salad.  We liked it when we had it here before but not this time, not enough flavour from the dressing, not sour enough.  Beef wasn’t great either.

最初にこれだけ来てあとはしばらくしてからだったので、この後写真を撮るのをすっかり忘れてしまい、もう１枚撮っていたのはデザートのバナナフリッター。

After these there was a big gap then more dishes came but I totally forgot to take photos of them except one of the dessert, which was Banana Fritters.

わたしたちは、もう１品、チキンのバジル炒めをオーダーし、お友達ご夫婦は他にチキンレッドカレーとパッタイをオーダーされていました。

We ordered Stir-fried Chicken with Basil (it was very good) and our friends ordered Chicken Red Curry and Pat Thai.

 

 

たくさんおしゃべりできて、とても楽しかったです！

We had a great evening as usual, catching up with each other.

これからみなさんお忙しくなるので、次回会えるのは年が明けてからになります。「楽しいクリスマスを〜！」とお別れしました。

As most people get very busy from now until Christmas, it’ll be after the New Year when we see them next, so we said good-bye saying “Merry Christmas” although it seems a bit early.
