旧正月ですね。香港の旧正月を懐かしく思い出します。ロンドンにいれば中華街に出かけたいところですが、この辺りではそういう場所もなく残念。今日はネイルに出かけただけですが、少し陽がさしました。明日は雲から少し陽がさしているマークの予報になっています。まぁ、でも、当分ほとんど雨模様のお天気のようです。来週はスノードロップを見に行きたいと思っていたのですが雨の中、泥濘の中を歩きたくないので延期かな。

It’s Chinese New Year!  I think of Hong Kong this time of year.  If we were in London it would have been lovely to go to the China Town but sadly there is nothing like that around here.   We went out just for my appointment at a nail salon during the day but there was a short sunny period, then went back to grey then rain.  There is a ray of the sun from a cloud on the weather forecast for tomorrow, but it looks like it’ll be raining on and off for a while.  We wanted to go and see snowdrops next week because it’s probably the peak now but we don’t want to walk in mud so I suppose we’ll have to put it off.

今日は、金曜日だし、ということで、アランデルの Thai Time に行きました。相変わらず、同じようなものばかりオーダーしています。野菜春巻き、チキンサテー、ラーブ・ムー（豚ミンチのサラダ）、マサマンカレー、ライス。空芯菜の炒め物もオーダーしたのですが、入荷していないとのことでした。（春巻きは写真を撮り忘れて１つずつ食べた後。）どれも、美味しくいただきました（ラーブ・ムーは薄味すぎて酸味が足りなかったのでお願いしてライムを絞っていただきました）。デザートもいつものバナナフリッター。

Since it’s Friday we went out for dinner today to Thai Time in Arundel.  We always order more or less the same things with just a very little variety.  Vegetable spring rolls (I remembered to take a photo after we had one each), chicken satay, laab moo (mince pork salad), Chicken Massermann curry & rice.  We wanted to have stir-fried morning glory but they didn’t have it today.  We enjoyed everything (although mince pork salad didn’t have enough dressing so we asked for a piece of lime and squeezed it over).  We also had a Banana Fritter for a dessert.
