今日はペットワースの美容院にお昼前に予約を入れていましたが、もう少し先というところで工事の通行止め。通行止めになっていたのはほんのちょっとの距離（歩いて１分もかからない）だったのですがぐるっと大回りしないといけなかったので、わたしはそこで降りて美容院まで歩いて行きました。美容院のすぐ近くに大きなマグノリアの木があって、満開でした。この数日、出かけるとたくさんのマグノリアのお花が咲いているのを見かけます。つい１週間くらい前はまだ目立たなかったのに。ずっとお天気は良くなくて、今日もちらっと太陽が顔お出しましたがあとは曇っていたり雨がぱらついたり。そんなお天気の中でも、お花はどんどん咲いています

I had an appointment at a hair salon in Petworth from a little before lunch time, but when we were nearly there the road was closed off for construction.  The part closed off was very short but you still have to drive a long way around, so I got off there and walked to the salon – and saw this large magnolia tree in full bloom.  When we’ve gone out in the last few days we’ve seen magnolia in bloom everywhere.   We didn’t see them so much a week or so ago but all of a sudden they are blooming.  The weather has still been bad, we had a little sunshine for a short time today but it drizzled or was cloudly most of the day.  Even in such bad weather we’ve been having more and more flowers are blooming.

来週、お天気が良い日があればどこかにマグノリアを見に行きたいと思っています。お天気予報を見ると現時点では来週はあまり雨は降らない予報のようですが、どうでしょう。

If we have a day with good weather we’d like to go somewhere to see magnolias.  Looking at the weathere forecast it looks like we won’t have a lot of rain, so we’ll see.

帰り道にある Cowdrey Farm Shop & Cafe でサクッとランチをしました。夫もわたしも BLT ですが、夫はサワドゥー、わたしは白い食パンで。ベーコンが多すぎて、わたしは半分以上取り出します。ここは特に美味しいということはないのですが、通り道ですし、ファームショップがあるのでついでに美味しいチーズなど買うのに便利なのでよく立ち寄ります。

We had lunch at Cowdrey Farm Shop & Cafe on our way back.  We both had BLT but my husband chose sourdough and I chose white bread.  There is too much bacon so I usually take about a half or more of it out.   I cannot say they are particularly tasty but it’s convenient because it’s on our way back and we can also do some shopping like good quality cheese etc at the farm shop there.
