昨日は、親しいお友達とチチェスターの「Purchases」でクリスマス・ディナーをご一緒しました。店内の写真を撮り忘れて残念ですが、このレストランのクリスマスの飾りは結構控えめだったような気がします。
We had a Christmas dinner at Purchases in Chichester with our close friends yesterday, I forgot to take photos of inside but they don’t seem to put a lot of Christmas decorations here anyway.
夫とお友達（ご主人）の前菜は、チキン・レバー・パフェ。プラム・ジャム、サラダ、レッドオニオン、アプリコット・ジェル、サワドートースト。
My husband and our friend (the husband) had Chicken Liver Parfait (plum jam, dressed salad, pickled red onions, apricot gel, sourdough crouton).
わたしは、ビーツのピクルス、ゴーとチーズ、バジルペスト、キャンディー・アーモンド、バルサミック・ドレッシング。美味しかったですが、ビーツが少なくて（薄いスライスが全部で６枚）ゴーとチーズの量が多かったので、ゴーとチーズは３分の２を残しました。マイルドなゴーとチーズで美味しくいただきましたが、量が多過ぎ。
I had Pickled Beetroots (whipped goat cheese, basil, pesto, candied almonds, balsamic dressing). I did enjoy it but there were only 6 very thin slices of beetroots and a lot of goat cheese. The goat cheese was very mild so I was able to enjoy it but there was just too much of it.
お友達は、ココナッツで覆ったタイガー海老（フレッシュチリ、コーラビとラディッシュのサラダ、トマトとチリジャム）。
Our friend had Coconut Crusted Tiger Prawn (fresh chilli, kohrabi and radish salad, tomato and chilli jam).
メインは、夫以外はターキー。見た目は悪いですが、美味しかったです、完食しました。
Everyone except my husband had Turkey & all the trimmings for their mains. It doesn’t look very nice because it’s all beige/brown but it was good, I finished it all.
夫は、シーバス（バジル風味のマッシュポテト、テンダーステムブロッコリー、ロメスコソース、ハーブオイル。

デザートは２組ともスティッキー・トフィー・プディングをシェアーしました。
Both couples shared Sticky Toffee Pudding.
それぞれにワインを１杯、ガス入りのお水２本で、１組大体100ポンド（１９４００円）でした。昨日は全員がコースメニューを選んだので、比較的お得なお値段です、アラカルトだともっと高くなります。
We all had a glass of wine each, shared 2 bottles of sparkling water and it was about £100 per couple. We all had their Christmas course menu so it was relatively less expensive – if we’d chosen a la carte it would have been more.
親しいお友達なのでいつ集まってもリラックスできて楽しくて、あっという間の一時でした。次回は、年が明けてからの集まりになりますので、楽しいクリスマスを！とお別れしました。
As they are very good friends we always have such a good time with them, relaxing and fun. The time went quickly and we wished Merry Christmas to each other as it’ll be after New Year when we see them next.
