今日も晴天の良いお天気で、なんと、１８度まで上がりました！こんなこと、イギリスの３月には珍しいことだと思います、本当に春の陽気。

It was another beautiful day and the temperature went up to 18C!  I think it’s very rare that it gets this warm this time of year, it was very spring-like.

こんな日に出かけないのももったいないので、ネイルサロンの後、家でサクッとランチをしてから近くに Denmans Garden と言うお庭に行ってみました。わたしは以前に１度だけお友達とカフェでお茶をしに行ったことがありますが、その日は大雨の日でお庭は見ませんでした。我が家から車で５分のところにあるので、行かないとね、と良く話題にはなるのですが、夫もわたしもお庭を歩くのは初めてでした。何度も賞を取っているお庭だそうです。こぢんまりとしていますが、くねくねと曲がる道を歩いて廻るお庭でそれなりに楽しかったです。今はまだ小さな春のお花の時期ですが、夏はもっといろいろなお花が綺麗だと思います。

It seemed like we’d be wasting the beautiful weather if we didn’t go out so, after my nail appointment and a quick lunch at home, we went to Denmans Garden. I’d been there once before with a friend to have tea at their cafe but it was raining very heavily then so we didn’t walk in the garden part.  It takes us only 5 minutes by car from home so we’d often talked about having a look but never actually managed to do it, so it was the first time for us to walk in the garden.  Apparently it’s an award wining garden.  It’s small but quite fun to walk in the little winding paths.  It’s time for little spring flowers at the moment but I would image it’s more beautiful later in the year with summer flowers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

マグノリアが綺麗に咲いていました。我が家の近くのマグノリアはやっと５分咲きくらいですが、陽当たりによって随分違いますね。

Magnolias were beautiful.  There are a few magnolia trees near us but they are maybe about 50% open if that.  The locations in terms of sun makes a big difference.
