クルーズ１３日目は、トルコのトロイに寄港しています。それにしても、クルーズは残すところ明日の１日だけになりました。寂しい〜！去年も思いましたが、あと1週間あれば満喫出来る気がします、2週間って早い！もしかすると3週間しても、後1週間続けたいと思うのかもしれませんが、なんとなく、3週間以上は飽きそうな気がしています。
Day 13 of the cruise. We are at Troy port in Turkey. I cannot believe we have only one more day on the ship – very sad! I felt this way last year, too, but I feel one more week would be just right. I might be wrong and would feel ‘one more week’ even after 3 weeks, but I think I will feel 3 weeks is just right.
今日も、申し込んでいたツアーは午後からだったので、ビュッフェ・レストランで早いランチをしてから出かけました。今日は、サンドイッチがなくてがっかり。あってもツナだったりエビだったりで食べられないこともあるのですが、これまでのところ食べられる時はサンドイッチは結構美味しいので楽しみなのです。
Our excursion was in the afternoon again, so we had an early lunch before getting off the ship. For some reason there were no sandwiches today. It’s sometimes what I cannot eat like tuna sandwiches or prawn sandwiches but what I have had have always been very nice so it’s something I look forward to for lunch.
今日はサラダもツナが入っているものと鴨が入っているものがあったので、わたしが食べられるサラダは余りなくて残念。デザートにフルーツサラダもいただきました。
Also there were 2 salads that I wasn’t able to choose, one was Tuna salad and another was Duck salad, so there wasn’t much I could get. We also had a fruit salad for dessert.
ツアーは、今日も遺跡を歩くツアーでした。ギリシャやトルコなどはどうしても遺跡回りが中心になってしまいますが、正直なところ、もう、満腹と言った気分です。もちろん遺跡以外のツアーも選べるので他のツアーにすれば良いのですが、ここに来たらやっぱり行っておくべき？と選んでしまったのでした。このこともあって、ギリシャを含む古代遺跡がたくさんあるところには余り旅行先として惹かれなかったのです。遺跡は、もう、一生分見たかな。
Our excursion was visiting another ruin. In Greece and around here you do end up visiting many ruins and to be honest I feel we’ve seen enough. Of course we could have chosen a different excursion but we felt we should visit it while we are here. This is a major reason why we weren’t very attracted to Greece and this sort of area. I think we don’t need to see any more!
今日は、下船するときに賑やかな音楽と共にクルーの方達からのお見送りがありました。前回はどこかで下船してツアーを終えて戻ってきたときにお迎えがありました。どこでこのイベントがあるのか決まっているのかどうなのかはわからないのですが、2週間に1度くらい行われている感じです。
Today, when we got off the ship the crew were all lined up and sent us off with lively music. Last year there was something similar although it was a welcoming back onboard event. I don’t know how often this happens but it’s probably once in two weeks or so.
遺跡に向かう途中、チャナッカレという街で降りてブラッドピット主演映画「トロイ」の撮影に使われた木馬を見ました。
On our way to the ruins of Troy, we stopped in the centre of the port town, “Canakkale”, to see the wooden horse. This is actually the prop horse that was built for the 2004 Brad Pitt film, Troy and gifted to the city.
そして、トイレ休憩の後、遺跡まで。ガイドさんと一緒に1時間半ほど歩いて回りました。歩きやすいように木でできた歩道が作られているのですが、あまり幅が広くないので、まだ観光シーズンではないこの時期でも場所によっては混み合ったりもしました。
Then we drove to the ruins of Troy and walked through with the guide for about an hour and a half. There are wooden paths so it wasn’t as hard to walk as in many other ruins but the paths are not wide, quite narrow in some parts, so it felt crowded in some areas even though it isn’t full tourist season yet. The ruins are very complicated because there are basically nine cities from different ages, built on on top of the other.
今日は曇りがちだというお天気予報でしたがそんなことはなく、午前中は曇っていたのかもしれないのですが、わたしたちが遺跡に着く頃には青空でした。昨日より数度気温が低く19度くらいとのことでしたが、日差しは強かったのでもっと暑く感じました。それでも、昨日よりは日陰も多く暑さもましでした。
We were told that it was cloudy today and it might’ve been in the morning but by the time we got to the ruin the sky was blue and the sun was strong. It was a few degrees cooler than yesterday, they said it was 19C but it felt hotter, but not as hot as yesterday.
船に戻ったのは4時半ごろでした。エクスプローラーで昨日のブログを書いていたら夕食の時間になり、慌てて準備をして、イタリアンのレストランに行きました。
We got back on the ship around 4:30, then I did yesterday’s blog in Explorer Lounge. The dinner time came very quickly, so we got ready and went to the Italian restaurant.
ここのパンとビュッフェの時のパンの一部は結構美味しい。ザ・レストランのパンは、わたしには余り美味しく感じません。たぶん、作っている人たちが違うんでしょうね。
I like the bread here and also the bread served in the World Cafe, but I don’t like the bread in The Restaurant. I guess different teams make them.
前菜は、サラミやグリルをしたお野菜（茄子、ズッキーニ）の盛り合わせを夫とシェアー。
We shared a salami & grilled vegetable board for a starter.
夫はメインにフィオレンティーナ・ステーキ。わたしは、1回目にここで食事をしたときにいただいたスパゲティーのアラビアータソースにしましたが、スパイシーではなかったのでもう少しスパイシーにしてほしい、量をメインの量にしてほしい、とお願いしました。そうなる気がしていましたが、もう少しスパイシーどころか、4倍くらいチリが入っていたと思います（笑）、ギリギリ食べられる辛さでした。
My husband’s main was Rib Eye Steak. I had Spaghetti with Arrabbiata sauce but I asked them to make it a little more spicy than what they usually do and also make the portion up to the main size portion. I must admit I wondered if this would happen but it did – it was 4 times more spicy than the one I had before!! Still, I did manage to eat it.
デザートは、夫は「キャラメロ」という初めて見るデザート。わたしは、ジェラート（クッキー＆クリーム）。
For the dessert my husband had “caramello”, which we’d never had before. I had gelato ( cookies & cream).
