今日は、お昼に Rustington のカフェ「Fig.」にランチに行きました。ランチに出かけるのは久しぶり。暑い日が多いので冷房がないカフェなどだと暑いのではと心配で行く気にならず。今日は２３、４度とそれほど暑くなかったので久しぶりに行って来ました。明日から、また暑くなるらしい。そして、その先２週間、ずっと暑いらしい（涙）。

We went to a cafe “Fig.” in Rustington for lunch today, it’s been a while since we went out just for lunch.  As it’s been very warm, we hesitate to go to a cafe, where there is no air-con but it was 23C or so today and wasn’t too hot. It’s going to be hot again tomorrow and will continue to be like that for the next 2 weeks!  Boo!

食べかけですが、夫はブリーとベーコンのメルト。わたしも少し食べました、美味しいですがボリュームが凄い。

He’s had a bite of it already but my husband chose Brie & Bacon Melt.  I had a half of a half, vey nice but very filling.

わたしは、ひよこ豆、ほうれん草、グリルした地中海のお野菜のサンド、美味しかったです。夫と半分のところで交換、夫も美味しいと言っていました。

I chose the Chick peas, spinach & grilled Mediterranean vegetable sandwich, very nice.  I had a half and my husband had the other half, he liked it, too.

ここに行くといつもすぐ側にある本屋さんに寄ってきます。小さな本屋さんですがお料理本はまぁまぁ揃っているので、あれこれ見るのが楽しい。たまに買いますが、滅多に買わないのです、なぜならアマゾンの方が安いんですよね。本屋さんには申し訳ないなと思いつつ。。。料理本って結構お値段するので、値引きされていると有り難いのです。

When we go to this cafe, we always go afterwards to the book shop nearby.  Although it’s quite small they have quite a good selections of cookery books so I enjoy browsing them.  I’m afraid, though, that I don’t often buy one although I do occasionally because they are quite a lot less expensive on Amazon.  It is very unfair to the bookshops but cookery books tend to be quite expensive so a discount makes a big difference.
