Nanbantei

今日はシンガポールの52回目のナショナルデー(建国記念日)で、お休みでした。とは言え、人ごみは嫌いなわしたちなのでイベントとは関係の無い普通のお休みです。

It was a public holiday today – the 52nd National Day in Singapore.  We don’t like going into a big crowd of people so it’s just another public holiday for us.

夫もわたしも夕食を作るのが面倒だったので、困った時の「南蛮亭」。行った時はそこそこ入っていましたが、珍しく、途中からガラガラになってました。

Neither my husband nor I felt like cooking tonight so we went to Nanbantei – it almost always has seats for us (with some exceptions).  They looked busy enough at first but got very empty about 20 minutes after we got there.  Maybe everyone is at the special event?

ざる豆腐(半分ずつに分けてから写真を撮ったので、この倍量ありました)、枝豆、オクラ巻き、ミニトマト巻き、豚バラの柚子胡椒焼き、豚バラの紫蘇巻き、ぎんなん、とうもろこし。デザートは夫は抹茶アイス、わたしは黒胡麻アイスのあずきのせ。

We had Zaru Dofu (the photo is a half portion), Edamame, Okura Maki, Mini Tomato Maki, Butabara Yuzukosho, Butabara Shisomaki, Giko Nuts, Sweet Corns (2 order).  For dessert, my husband had Matcha Icecream and I had Black Sesami with Azuki.

 

 

いつもより食べた串の数は少なかったと思うのですが、いつもより高めの120ドルでした。多分ビールが1本多かった(今日は4本、多分いつもは3本だと思います)のか、または、ざる豆腐が少し高めだったのかも(値段、見てませんが)。それでも1万円程度なので、シンガポールにしては破格の夕食です。

I have a feeling we didn’t eat as many sticks of kushiyaki as usual but the bill was a little more than usual – S$120.  Perhaps we had 1 extra bottle of beer (we usually have 3 maybe?), or maybe zaru dofu is more expensive than other items?  Anyway, it’s still very reasonable.
