ロックダウンが僅かですが緩和されて家で仕事が出来ない人は出かけて良いということになり、インテリア・デザイナーさんも徐々に活動を再開されているようで、メールで相談が再開され、ほんの少しですが久しぶりにリノベーションの進歩がありました。

Since the lockdown was loosened slightly and people can go out for work if they cannot work at home, our interior designer also seems to have slowly been working again and we have exchanged a few emails, and there have been a little progress on our house renovation.

リビングルームは基本リノベーションは終わっていますが、サイドテーブル、ランプ、カーペットなどを新しくすることが残っていました。サイドテーブルとランプもオーダーはこの間済ませてありデリバリー待ち、カーペットが昨日届きました。最近人気のわざと古く見えるような加工をされた柄になっています。結構インパクトが強い色なので心配でしたし、来てからも、「う〜ん。。。」と思いましたが、慣れてきて、なかなか良いのではと思っています。また、カーペトが真ん中に入ったことで、お部屋が以前より広く見えるきがします。

Although the renovation of the living room had been mostly completed, there are a few things left to do like getting new side tables, lamps etc.  The side tables and lamps have been ordered and are are waiting for them to be delivered, but the carpet was delivered yesterday.  It’s one of those popular distressed looking ones, but as the colour is quite dark we were a little worried how it would look.  It took me a while to get used to the new look but I’m getting to like it.  I think it also made the room feel larger now that a smaller area is defined with the carpet.
