Spaghetti Carbonara

少し前に「Fine Food Specialist」からホワイトアスパラガスを取り寄せたときに普段買っているオンラインのスーパーでは見つからないグアンチャーレもオーダーしたので、今日の夕食はカルボナーラにしました。先日のホワイトアスパラガスも残っていたのでさっと茹でてサラダに入れて食べてしまいました。(ちなみに、ホワイトアスパラガスはオンラインのスーパーに出始めました。)

When I ordered white asparagus from Fine Food Specialist, I also ordered some guanciale as I cannnot find it from the online supermarket, so tonight’s dinner was Spaghetti Carbonara using the guanciale.  We also used the white asparagus we still had in the salad.  (I found white asparagus on the online supermarket we use yesterday when I checked.)


We used Genaro’s recipe for carbonara.  Although it was very good, it was a little too heavy for me and I couldn’t finish my poriton of 90g of pasta.  You use 3 egg yolks and 40g of Parmesan cheese, which might be too much for us.  I found recipes that use about a half of those so perhaps we should use them next time.  The guanciale had lots of fat (as they do) so not a lot of the bits to eat for me (as I don’t want to eat too much fat) but what I had tasted very nice.
