今日は1日曇り。頭痛で目が覚めてしまいましたが、偏頭痛ではなくただの頭痛でお薬がすぐに効いてほっとしました。明後日から旅行なので、偏頭痛になると厄介。普通の頭痛だと結構すぐにお薬が効くことが多いのですが、寝ている間になると目が覚めた時には遅すぎて効かないことも。多分、昨日、あまりお水を飲まなかったせいかなと思います。寒い時期は水分を採る量が減る上、刺繍をしているとお水を飲むのを忘れてしまいます。
It was very grey all day today. I woke up with a headache, but fortunately it wasn’t a migraine but just a normal headache and painkillers worked quickly. I was worried a little because we are going away from the day after tomorrow and a migraine would be a pain to handle. When it’s not a migraine painkillers work well if I take them soon enough but sometimes they don’t work when it starts in my sleep as it’ll be too late when I take them after I wake up.
今日の夕食は、マッシュルームのクリームソースのパスタ。クリームの量が少なかったのでとろみがつくように少し粉を使ってミルクを足しました。玉ねぎとニンニクを炒めて、マッシュルームを足して炒めて、粉を足して炒めて、白ワイン少量を加えてアルコールが蒸発したら牛乳を加えてとろみがつくまで火を通し、クリームとパルメジャーノチーズを削り入れて塩胡椒(胡椒多め)したところに茹でたパスタを加え、盛り付けてからレモンの皮を削ったものとパルメジャーノチーズをさらに少量かけて出来上がり。
Today’s dinner was pasta with mushroom cream sauce. It didn’t look like there was enough cream left so I also used some milk and flour so it would get a little thicker. No recipe, I just made it up. I sautéed onion and garlic in olive oil and butter, then added mushrooms and continued sautéing, then added some flour and sautéed it all until it all the flour disappeared and it stopped being floury in taste. Then I was going to add some left-over Champagne and I had the bottle right next to the cooker but I totally forgot! I added milk, let it simmer for a few minutes, added the cream, let it simmer just for a minute or so, then added some grated Parmesan cheese. I turned the heat off, grated some lemon rind and added a little lemon juice, salt & pepper then added cooked pasta. After plating it, I grated more lemon rind and some parmesan cheese, and it’s done.
