昨日は夕食に三宮に出たので、食事の後、大昔からあるジャズバー「ソネ」に寄りました。夫は昔からジャズが大好きなので、結婚する前からよく一緒に行ったものでした。ただ、結婚してからそれほど度々外食をしなくなったのと、お腹いっぱいの状態でどこかに寄るのはわたしには面倒でそれほど度々は行かなくなりましたが、それでも神戸に住んでいた時には時々行っていましたし、日本を離れてからも夫が一緒に滞在している時には1度くらいは行っていました。

As we were in Sannomiya for dinner, we also went to a jazz bar “Sone”, which has been there for decades. It’s one of my husband’s favourite places in Kobe and we used to go there often before we got married. Once we got married, we didnt go out as often and also I didn’t always feel like going there when I was so full from dinner. Still we always went there once in a while even after we left Japan, whenever my husband was in Kobe with me.

昨日は火曜日で比較的空いていましたが、それでも思ったより人が入っていました。いつもは年配の方が多かった印象でしたが、昨日は2組、若い男性もいらしていました。聴ける時は2ステージ聴いたりもしますが、昨日は到着したのが9時ごろで最後のステージだけでした。夫が楽しそうで、何より。

It was Tuesday so wasn’t very full but there were more people than I expected. I feel the customers are in general middle aged or older but there were 2 couples of young guys as well. We sometimes stay for 2 sets but we didn’t get there until about 9:00pm and only the last set was left.
