今日は、良いお天気になったので、車で１５分程度のところにある Tinwood Vineyard でランチをしました。去年も行ったのですが、ヴィンヤードツアーに参加しない場合は予約は出来ず、去年は外席にしか座れなかったのでお天気の良い日しか行けないと思っていたのですが、今日は中の席に座れました。今日はドアが前回になっていたので少し寒かったのですが、ドアを閉めることもできるようになっていると思います。前回行ったときは土曜日でツアー参加者が多かったので場所がなかったのだと思います。外の写真を撮り忘れたので、その様子はこちらで。（ドアが閉められるようになっているのかもしれません。）
We had lunch at “Tinwood Vineyard”, which is only about 15 minutes from us by car, as it turned out to be good weather. When we went there last year for the first time, we weren’t allowed to sit inside or even on their patio so we thought it had to be when the weather is good, but we were allowed to sit inside today. I think it was busy when we went there last year because it was a Saturday and there were many people on the vineyard tour. All the doors were open today so it felt a little chilly even inside but I think the doors can be closed to keep it warm inside.
こんな風に並べられているものから欲しいものをワイン箱の中にいれて、お支払いしてからテーブルでいただく、というシステムになっています。メニューは日によって違うようで、サイトに載っているメニューとは結構違っていました。
You pick what food you want from a series of counters, put them in a wine box, pay for them then have them at your table. The menu changes every day, it was quite different from what I found on the menu on their website.
わたしたちは、フェンネル入りのサラミ、トリュフ入りアランチーニ、ドライトマト・クスクス、ソーセージロール、アルゴビを選び、ワインはロゼのスパークリングにしました。ワインは以前はグラスワインでいただけましたが、今はボトルだけになっているそう。夫が運転しなくては行けなかったので、残ったワインは持ち帰りました。どれもとても美味しかったですし、ここはパンもとっても美味しいのでフランスパンを２つ持ち帰りました。持ち帰ったパンを除いて、ワインを入れて76ポンド（１５２００円）でしたが、半分はワイン代。なので、ワイン１杯ずつだと50ポンド（10000円弱）くらいかな？円にするととてもお高いですが、ポンドで考えるとイギリスではお安いと思います。
We chose – Salami with fennel, Aranchini with truffle, Dry tomato couscous, Sausage roll & Aloo Gobi. We also had a bottle of rose sparkling wine – my husband had to drive so we brought back the bottle with the left-over. They were all very enjoyable. Their bread is very nice, too, so we bought 2 more loaves of French bread and brought them home. Including the wine (but excluding the extra bread we bought additionally), it was £76, the wine was about a half of that. So if we had just one glass each it would have been about £50. It still sounds very expensive in Japanese yen but in pounds it sounds fairly inexpensive for what you get in that setting.
去年は結局１度しか行けなかったので、今年は暖かいうちに何度か行けるといいなと思っています。
Although we liked this place we went there only once last year. Hope we can go a few times this year while the weather is nice enough.
