Gidleigh Park でのボクシングデーは、ちょっと遅めのランチタイムからアフタヌーンティーが出てきます。わたしたちはウォーキングの後、ソーセージロール（結構大きめ）を１ついただいたこともあり、２４日、２５日としっかり食事をしていたので甘いケーキやスコーンはなしでサンドイッチとお茶だけをお願いしました。サンドイッチは、わたしの好みではなかったです。ハムは獣臭いし、ターキーも前日の残りなので臭みがあり、どれもあまり塩胡椒もされていなくて。。。わたしの好みではないだけで、イギリス的には多分普通。

On Boxing Day at Gidleigh Park, they serve afternoon tea from about 1:00pm.  We had a sausage roll (it was quite a large one) each ar the wnd of the walk, and we had eaten big meals on the 24th and the 25th, so we asked them not to serve us any sweet cakes or scones and just give us a plate of sandwiches.  Sadly I never seem to enjoy sandwiches here.  The ham was very strongly gamy, so was the turkey as it was from the day before, and they don’t seem to season their sandwiches…  Not to my taste but probably normal for England.
