１週間くらい前はロンドンはヒートウェーブが来そうでしたが、この辺りは最高気温が２４度くらいになっていたのですが、毎日最高予想気温が上がって、今現在木曜日には３１度まで上がる予報になっています。今日は２７度くらいでした。
About a week ago, the weather forecast said a heatwave was coming to London but it didn’t look as if it would happen around here as the highest temperature expected was only about 24C. However it changed every day to a higher and higher temperature and now says it’ll be 31C on Thursday here. It was about 27C today.
バーベキュー日和なので、今日の夕食はバーベキュー。暑すぎるかなと思いましたが夕方の日陰は心地よく、美味しくいただきました。
It was a lovely day for a BBQ as it cooled down a little in the evening so that’s what we had for dinner. I thought it might be too hot but it wasn’t, it was just lovely.
冷凍していたシャワルマペーストにマリネしたチキンとやはり冷凍していた中近東風のビーフコフタ。お野菜はバーベキューの時によく作るパプリカにトマト、にんにく、オリーブオイル、塩胡椒、バジルを入れてアルミフォイルで包んで焼いた物、とうもろこし、アスパラガス。他にコフタ用のハリッサとクミン風味のスパイシーなソースとモザイクサラダ（トマト、玉ねぎ、きゅうり、パプリカ、シャンツァイ、レモン汁、オリーブオイル）。デザートは、ピスタチオのジェラート。どれも美味しく出来ました。
We had chicken thighs in Shawarma marinade (from the freezer), Middle-Eastern beef kofta (from the freezer, too), red pepper filled with tomato, garlic, olive oil, salt & pepper and cooked in alminium foil, sweet corn, and asparagus. I made harissa & cumin flavoured spicy sauce for the koftas and a mosaic salad (tomato, onion, cucumber, red pepper, coriander, lemon juice, olive oil, salt & pepper). For the dessert, we had a scoop of Pistachio Gelato. Everything was great.
明日、明後日の最高気温は２８度、水曜日は３０度、木曜日は３１度と暑いですが、金曜日は２５度、土曜日は２３度、その後はしばらく２３度くらいという予報なので、とても暑いのは木曜日までの予報です。クーラーが効いた家でのんびり過ごそうと思います。ロンドンはなんと、３７度まで上がる予報になっています。クーラーがない家がほとんどなので危険なレベルの暑さですよね。。。
The forecast says, 28C tomorrow & the day, then 30C on Wednesday, and 31C on Thursday, so it’ll be very hot (for England) for the next four days. However, it is expected to go down to 25C on Friday, then 23C on Saturday and 23C for the following few days. We’ll probably stay in our air-conditioned house for the next four days until it gets more comfortable. It’s expected to go up to 37C in London, which sound like a dangerous level when most people live without air-conditioning….
