昨夜は親しいお友達ご夫婦とキャッチアップを兼ねて夕食をご一緒しました。場所は、お友達は初めてでしたがわたしたちは２度ほど行ったことがあるタパスレストランの「Andalucia」、わたしたちからもお友達ご夫婦からも車で３０分くらいのところにあります。お友達ご夫婦もわたしたちもそれぞれに１組５品ずつオーダーして、食べられるものはシェアーしようということにしました。 We had dinner to catch up with our good friends at “Andalucia” in Ferring. 昨日、フランス菓子教室があることがわかっていたので、今日、甘いものが好きなお友達にお茶とケーキに来ていただきました。 なのですが、モンブランは冷蔵庫の中でへちゃっと潰れていました（号泣）。イギリスの冬は湿度が高くてじめじめしているので、メレンゲがやわらかくなって潰れてしまっていました。そう言えば、シンガポールでもそうでした。悲しい。抹茶のケーキはお友達にはやはり「変わった味」だったようでした（笑）。この辺りには本格的なフランスのケーキが食べられるところがほとんどないですし、ましてや、抹茶やあずきに馴染みがある方もとても少ないです。近いうちに、翌日になっても美味しいケーキを焼いた時にまた来ていただきたいと思います。 As my French Baking Class was yesterday, we asked a friend of ours, who loves sweet things, to come for tea and cake this afternoon.
