Japanese Steak Is The Best!

今頃は、夫は新神戸から博多に向かう電車の中、明日の朝のフライトでシンガポールに戻ります。あっという間の10日ほどでした。いつもそうですが、最初の数日は時間がゆっくり過ぎて、だんだん加速する感じ。

My husband is on a Shinkansen from Shin-Kobe heading to Hakata now. He’ll take a flight back to Singapore tomorrow morning. The 10 days together went so fast. As always the first few days go slowly then the time seems to get faster and faster.

以前からよく西宮の家で食べるステーキが美味しいと書いていますが、考えてみれば夫は食べたことがないということに気づき、今回は一緒に食べることになり、日曜日の今日妹と弟が作ってくれました。菊池和牛のシャトーブリアン、焼き野菜とご馳走。ソースは昔弟が作ってくれた梅干しや胡麻入りのソース。ステーキは脂っこ過ぎず、柔らかく、ソースも良く合って美味しかった〜!

I often wrote in my blog how delicious is the steak I have at my Nishinomiya family but we realized my husband had never had a chance to have it, so this time we had steak lunch that my sister and brother cooked. Chateaubriand steak with roasted vegetables. My brother made the sauce I requested, it has Umeboshi and Gina as some of the ingredients. The steak had some marbling of fat but not too much and was so tender, the sauce went well with the steak – everything was delicious!
