金曜日に泊めていただいたお友達ご夫婦とランチをしたことをアップし忘れていました。The Queen’s Head というパブのお庭でいただきました。この日は結構雲が多くてあまり良いお天気ではなかったのですが、それでもとても景色が良かったです。晴れた日はもっと先まで見えるそうです。

I’d forgotten to blog the lunch on Friday we had with our friends, whom we stayed with.  We went to a pub “The Queen’s Head” and had lunch in their garden.  The weather wasn’t very good but the view was still very nice, when the weather is good you could see further ahead.

夫はスカンピ、「Bangkok Bad Boy Burger」というのをいただきました。タイ風の辛いバーガーのはずなのですが、わたしには全然辛くなかったです。お友達のご主人も同じものを召し上がったのですが辛いとおっしゃっていました。イギリスの方はあまり辛いものは苦手な印象。カリカリで食感が良かったですが、味付けはわたしにはハーブもスパイスも物足らなかったです、コロッケみたいな感じでした。チップスもしんなりチップスでした（涙）。

My husband had scampi and chips, I had “Bangkok Bad Boy Burger”.  It’s supposed to be spicy but wasn’t at all for me.  However, the husband of our friend, who also had it, was saying “it’s quite spicy”.  I have a feeling that the level of spice English people can handle isn’t very high.  It had a nice crunchy texture but not a lot of flavour, it was almost like a croquette.  Chips were soggy, too.
