昨日のランチもアップしておこうと思って忘れていました。チリ・コンカーニが余っていたので、トーストの上に乗せて、チーズと玉ねぎも乗せて簡単ランチにしました。イギリスではクラッカーと出てくるアメリカと違って、基本的にチリ・コンカーニはご飯と一緒に出てきます。（最近はあまりパブのメニューに見かけなくなりましたが、以前はほとんどのパブにありました。）ご飯以外だと、ジャケットポテト（大きなポテトを皮付きでオーブンでローストしたもの）の真ん中に切り目を入れてチリ・コンカーニを入れてチーズや青ネギを乗せたものも時々見かけます。夫もわたしもポテトは好きですがあまりジャケットポテトは食べたいと思わないので（手間はかからないですが１時間くらい焼かないといけないというのもあるかと思います）、トーストの上に乗せる方が好きです。この上にグリーンのタバスコを振っていただきます。 I forgot to blog the lunch we had yesterday. Tonkatsu & Shiso Tempura
今日の夕食は、トンカツでしたが、夫が紫蘇が大好きで、せっかく栽培してたくさん出来ているので間に挟んで揚げてみました。そして、少し収穫し過ぎたのでついでに紫蘇の天ぷらも揚げてみました。トンカツはトンカツとしては柔らかく美味しく揚がりましたし、紫蘇の天ぷらもサクサクに美味しく上がったのですが、どちらもあまり紫蘇の味は感じられなかったのです。やっぱり、紫蘇は生でサラダに入れたりする方が美味しい気がしました。トンカツも普通に揚げて紫蘇を乗せて食べれば良かったかも。 Today’s dinner was Tonkatsu.
