ホテルでのクリスマス当日（イギリスは２５日がクリスマス本番です）は、お部屋のドアにたくさんプレゼントが詰まった大きな靴下が下げられていて、このプレゼントも結構楽しみだったりします。「キッチンチームより」「ガーデンチームより」「受付より」などとそれぞれの担当のグループごとのプレゼントが詰まっています。メインの大きなプレゼントは前日の夜、わたしたちがディナーをいただいている間にお部屋に置かれています。

On Christmas Day we get a Christmas Stocking stuffed full of presents, the presents are from “kitchen team”, “Gardening Team”, “The dining room” etc.  It’s quite fun to open these presents.  The main present (the largest one) was left in the room on the night before while we were having our dinner.

 

 

 

メインのプレゼントは、Telgn Valley Glass のガラスで出来た大きなロビンと小さなロビン。

The main present was a large and a small robin made of glass from Telgn Valley Glass.

皆さん、毎年プレゼントを考えるのは大変だろうと思いますが、「楽しんで考えてます」とおっしゃっていました。

It must be a hard work to come up with hopefully suitable presents  for a large number of people every year but they said it’s fun for them.
