昨日の夕食と今日のランチは、お餅でした〜。昨日はお昼にしっかり食べたので、夜は軽く。そして、またお餅が食べたいと夫がいうので、今日のお昼もお餅にしました。焼いてお醤油を絡めたものと安倍川餅。美味しかったです。母がお餅が大好きだったなぁ、と思いながらいただきました。

Yesterday’s evening meal and today’s lunch was Omochi (Japanese rice cake).  We had a big lunch yesterday so had just omochi in the evening.  My husband enjoyed it so much that he wanted to have it again, so that’s what we had for lunch today.  One grilled and covered with soy sauce and 2 boiled and covered with a mixture of soy bean powder and sugar yesterday, and the other way round today for lunch.  My mum loved omochi when she was alive so I was thinking of her when I was eating it.
