義弟夫婦からもらった鉢植えのチューリップ、蕾がついてました！色がつき始めているのもあります。陽の当たり方が違うので、１つの鉢の方が大きな蕾になっています。 The tulips in pots that my brother-in-law and his wife gave us have some buds! One pot gets more sun than the other so there larger buds in one of them and some have some colours, too.

Sun Bathing In Our Garden

Fried Rice
今日のランチは、冷凍していたご飯（１パックは日本米、もう１パックはバズマティ米かな？）を使って、焼き飯にしました。日本のレシピに従って作られているというスモーキーな皮がぱきっとするソーセージ（今でも買えるのかな？）と玉ねぎ、キャベツと炒め、味付けはシラチャソース（辛いソース）、とんかつソース、日本のウスターソース、胡椒。夫は中華のレストランでててくるチャーハンは嫌がるのですが（多分、中国のお米の独特の香りが好きじゃないのだと思います）、ソバメシは喜んで食べていたのでソース炒めにしてみました。気に入った様子でした。 Today’s lunch was fried rice using frozen rice (1 pack of Japanese rice and 1 pack of, I think, basmati rice). House Renovation – Kitchen / Sink Area
昨日のリノベーションの続き。シンクのあるユニット部分全体はこうなっています。シンクは大きなグレーに、トップも黒っぽい色に変えて、ユニットの扉もオフホワイト（シンク部分の左右と同じ）から濃いグレーに変えました。イメージしていたのはもっと黒に近い濃いグレーでしたが、そうしようと思うと特注になってしまい費用がぐんと高くなってしまうので、家を建てたときにキッチンを担当された会社が扱っておられる規制のものでこのユニットに合うものから一番濃いグレーを選びました。この部分の左側は冷蔵庫（扉は他の部分と同じなのでパッと見るとわからない）と狭い棚のユニット、右側は収納プラスオーブン２つと電子レンジ兼オーブンが入っています。扉の持ち手部分も昨日書いたようにブラスの細長いタイプに変えました。 Adding to yesterday’s post on the kitchen renovation, here is a photo of the sink area. 一昨日の夜ほとんど眠れなかったので、今日はゆっくり寝ました。翌日旅行などで早めに起きないといけないと思うとあとどれくらい眠れる、と気になりすぎて結局眠れないのが常です。今日から３週間のロックダウン。というのに、さっそく20人でバーベキューをして注意されている人たちがニュースに出ていました。本当に、どういうつもりなんだか。。。 I hardly slept on the day before yesterday, but I slept well and long hours last night. Leftover Mexican Beef & Rice
今日の夕食は、先日残ったメキシコ風のビーフとキドニービーンズ入りご飯。レンジで温めてからグラタン皿に入れてチーズを乗せてグリルで焼き、ダメになりそうなアボカドがあったのでのせてみました。 Today’s dinner was leftover Mexican Beef & Rice from the other day. We warmed it up in the Microwave, put it in a pie dish, sprinkled with cheese and then grilled it. We then scattered some chopped avocado as there was one that would be off soon, and finally some coriander.
Walking in Woods
今日は、とっても良いお天気。暑そう、と思うくらいの日差しですが、実際には外に出ると案外寒くて、まだ冬のコートが必要です。日本では、もうすぐ桜が綺麗な季節ですね。 It’s so sunny today, I thought it looked hot when I looked outside but it is still quite chilly outside, I still need to wear a winter coat.
