Sunday Roast At A Pub
今日は家のすぐ近くのパブでランチをしました。イギリスにはサンデー・ローストと言って日曜日のお昼にローストをいただく習慣があります。一般的にはラム、ポーク、ビーフ、チキンのどれかのローストにカリカリに焼いたローストポテトとお野菜数種類とビーフの場合はヨークシャー・プディング（他のお肉でもついてくることも多い）、そしてどれもグレービーと言ってソースをかけていただきます。昔は毎週日曜日のランチにローストを食べていた家庭が多かったようですが、最近は周りでは時々食べるという感じです、ローストは手間がかからないようで案外品数が多いので結構手間ですしオーブンも汚れるので敬遠される方も多くなっている気がします。ですが、今でもほとんどのパブで日曜日はローストが主なメニューになっています。 We had Sunday Roast for lunch at the pub at the end of our road. ２つ目の刺繍は、これにしました。前回はウールの糸でしたが、今回はDMCのコットンの糸。今回もキットを買いました。色々なステッチがあり立体的なのも多いので楽しそうと思って買って見ました。実際楽しいのですが、１つずつやり方を見ないとわからないものが多く、結構難しくて綺麗な形にはなりません。やり直したところもありますが、何度もすると糸が足りなくなるのでそこそこのところで妥協しています。 My second embroidery project is this one, this time it’s DMC cotton threads, not wool like the last one.
